Bev Edwards Photography is committed to protecting your privacy. I will only use the information that we collect from you lawfully, in accordance with the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulations 2018 (GDPR) as well as with this policy. This Privacy Notice explains how personal data is collected, stored, used and disclosed by Bev Edwards Photography. The notice is applicable to data provided in the course of Bev Edwards Photography’s service delivery to its customers, it applies to information obtained from our website and social media communication. By accessing or using my sites, products and services you signify that you have read, understood and agree to our collection, storage, use and disclosure of your information as described in this Privacy Notice.

This Privacy Notice may be revised on an adhoc basis to reflect changes in our business requirements and to reflect any changes to data protection laws and regulations.

The data controller referred to in this notice is Bev Edwards Photography. This means that Bev Edwards Photography is responsible for determining the purpose and means for processing of your personal data.

  • Identity data – Name, title, date of birth, gender, data contained in photographs. The above may relate to you personally, a family member or next of kin.

  • Contact data – Postal address, telephone number, email address, IP address.

  • Financial and transactional data – details of payments to and from you, details of products and services purchased from Bev Edwards Photography.

  • Profile data – Your interests, preferences, feedback and enquiries.

  • Marketing and communication data – Your preferences in receiving marketing material from us and your communication preference.

Bev Edwards Photography uses the personal data that it collects for the purpose of undertaking its legitimate business interests and for the purpose indicated at the time of collection. Such uses may include:

We may use your personal information to communicate with you. You can choose how you would like to receive information from me, options may include mail, email or telephone. With your permission, we may contact you from time to time with communications that we feel will be of interest to you such as information about our services, news and updates.

6. When do we share personal data?

Bev Edwards Photography will ensure your personal data is treated confidentially and lawfully at all times. I may share images of you and your family with your consent. We may share your data where this is necessary for the purpose that the data was collected or for compliance with relevant legal and regulatory requirements. I may share your data with third party service providers such as IT software and cloud-based storage providers, archiving storage providers, payment service providers.

7. Where do we store and process personal data?

Personal data is stored by Bev Edwards Photography on servers within the European Economic Area (EEA). I may however, from time to time, transfer data to third parties as set out above. These third parties may be located outside the EEA.  All our third-party service providers are required to take appropriate security measures in line with our policies. Contractual arrangements are in place to ensure all personal data is protected in accordance with EEA standards. We do not allow third party service providers to use personal data for their own purposes.

8. How do we secure personal data?

Security of your personal data is of primary importance to us and we take all reasonable steps to ensure this is protected including:

  • Restricted of access to personal data to only those who are necessary for the processing of the data;

  • Implementation and maintenance of IT security solutions and disaster recovery plans to minimise risk of data loss and unauthorised access.

9. How long do we keep your personal data for?

We will only retain your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfil the requirement that it was collected for.  In determining and appropriate retention period we will consider:

The GDRP contains certain rights for individuals over their personal data as summarised below:

  • Access to personal information – You can request a copy of all of your personal data held by Bev Edwards Photography;

  • Correction – Should you become aware of any inaccuracies in your personal data please contact us and we will update accordingly.

  • Deletion – You can request that your personal data be deleted when it is no longer required for the purpose that it was collected. Data required to be retained for legal or regulatory purposes would be excluded and retained on record.

  • Withdrawal of consent (if processing data on condition of consent) – You have a right to withdraw consent at any time. In order to do so please contact us.

  • Data portability – You can request that your data is sent to yourself or another organisation

  • Restriction of processing and objection – You can ask to restrict the use of your personal data

  • Lodging a complaint with the Information Commissioner’s Office
